What it is
The NRX 90V is a 92-litre 12/24V compressor fridge-freezer aimed at motorhomes and larger vans replacing a tall absorption unit. The removable 8.4-litre freezer lets it run as a fridge, fridge-freezer or freezer.
It is the model to choose when you want near-domestic capacity in a tall, narrow-ish cabinet, with the efficiency of a compressor rather than gas.

Why we sell it
The 90V is the efficient way to get tall-galley capacity: near-domestic volume on 12/24V, quiet enough to sleep beside, and a straight swap for an old gas/absorption fridge.
- Tall-galley capacity. 92 litres for motorhomes and larger vans, without the inefficiency of a 3-way fridge.
- Quiet and frugal. As low as ~40 dB and roughly 0.35–0.4 kWh/24h — kind to batteries and to sleep.
- Drop-in for absorption. Designed to replace older gas/3-way fridges with a far more efficient DC compressor.
How it compares
vs an absorption (3-way) fridge
The 90V uses a fraction of the energy, cools strongly in heat, works off-level and needs no gas or external vents — but it does need a battery/charging supply (it has no LPG mode).
vs the smaller NRX uprights
Same controls and features, just taller and roomier — choose the 90V when 75 litres is not enough.

Fitting it
- Refrigerant safety. It uses R600a (a flammable hydrocarbon in a small sealed charge) — follow the manual’s ventilation and no-naked-flame guidance during install/service.
- Ventilation. No external vents are needed as on an absorption fridge, but the compressor needs an airflow gap — confirm the clearance in the installation manual.
- Power. 12/24V on fused, correctly gauged cable; ~0.35–0.4 kWh/24h, drawing only while the compressor cycles.
- Door swing. Reversible hinge — decide the side before fitting.
