Each base fits between the seat and its existing floor rails, raises the seat by about 43 mm, locks securely facing forward for driving, and is TÜV crash-tested. Sold as a pair. One thing to know: the driver side needs a handbrake adaptor so the lever clears the seat as it turns (see below).

On the driver side, yes — the Crafter / MAN TGE handbrake sits where the seat needs to rotate, so a handbrake adaptor is needed to lower the lever and let the seat clear it. The passenger side needs no modification. Tell us your handbrake type when ordering and we'll make sure you have the correct Scopema adaptor.
How much does the seat rise?
About 43 mm — one of the lower-profile bases on the market, so headroom and your reach to the wheel and pedals are barely affected.
Are both seats included?
This listing is the pair of swivel bases — driver and passenger. The seats themselves aren't included; the bases swivel your van's existing cab seats.
Which vans and seats does it fit?
The 2017-onward VW Crafter and the MAN TGE (same platform), right-hand drive. It suits the standard cab seats and is fine with seat heating and seat airbags. It won't fit electrically adjusted or air-suspended seats.
Can I keep my airbags and seatbelts?
Yes. The base sits under the seat and doesn't interfere with seat airbags, belt mountings or heating. As a precaution, disconnect the battery before unplugging any seat airbag connectors during fitting, or have an installer do it.
Is it safe — is it crash-tested?
Yes. Scopema bases are steel-built and carry European TÜV crash-test approval.
Can I fit them myself?
Yes — they're a bolt-in job for a competent home converter, fitting between the seat and its existing rails with the supplied bolts. The driver-side handbrake adaptor adds a little time. We can also fit them as part of a VANZ conversion.
Do these mount a RIB rock-and-roll bed?
No — these are swivel bases for the front cab seats. "RIB" here is the trade brand the Scopema bases are sold under; it doesn't mean they fit a RIB rear seat or bed.
