Check before you order: cab airbags.

REMIfront is not suitable for vans with airbags in the A-pillars or above the cab doors. If your van has them, the system can't be fitted. Not sure? Send us your van details and we'll confirm.

Which version do I need?

Two things decide your set: the body shape (X290 2014-2019 vs the 2021-on facelift) and whether your windscreen has a rain/light sensor pod behind the mirror — and if so, the small or large type.

  • No sensor: a plain windscreen with no rain-sensor housing.
  • Small / large sensor: match the size of the black sensor pod on the inside of your screen behind the mirror. Ordering the wrong size is the most common mistake.

Not sure which you have? Send us a photo of the area behind your mirror and we'll confirm before you order.

What's in your set

Every set is three genuine Remis blinds — the windscreen plus both cab side windows — supplied together as one complete set. Prices by version:

VersionFull set price
X290 2021+ · no sensor£830.00
X290 2021+ · small sensor£865.00
X290 2021+ · large sensor£930.00
X290 2014-2019 · no sensor£810.00
X290 2014-2019 · rain sensor£890.00

The frames are colour-matched to the cab trim by year (grey on the earliest vans, beige/cream from 2011 on). The correct colour comes with your van/year — there is no separate colour choice.

Fitting it

  • Confirm no cab airbags first. A-pillar or above-door airbags rule the system out — this is the one check that matters most.
  • Match the sensor + year exactly. The windscreen blind is shaped to clear your specific screen and sensor housing — the wrong version won't sit right.
  • DIY-fittable. The side blinds screw to the door frames; the windscreen cassettes mount to the A-pillars. A confident self-builder can fit it; a local installer will do it in a couple of hours if you'd rather.

Questions and answers

What does the set include?

A full set is three blinds: the windscreen blind plus the left and right cab side-window blinds. The windscreen blind mounts into the A-pillars and meets in the middle with a magnetic catch; the side blinds fix to the door frames. Together they black out the whole cab.

What is the windscreen “sensor”, and why does it change the blind?

It's your van's own rain/light sensor — the module on the inside of the windscreen, behind the rear-view mirror. It runs the automatic wipers and, on the bigger units, the automatic headlights and the camera-based driver aids (lane-keep, traffic-sign and high-beam assist). The REMIfront windscreen blind is shaped so it clears that housing — the guide tubes sit around it — so you choose the version that matches what your van has. Picking the right one is purely about the blind fitting cleanly; it doesn't change how the sensor works. A “large” sensor pod usually means your van also has that camera-assist cluster, while “small” is the rain-sensor pod on its own. If you're unsure, send us a photo of the area behind your mirror and we'll confirm.

Will it fit a van with cab airbags?

REMIfront is NOT suitable for vehicles with airbags in the A-pillars or above the cab doors. This is the single most important check before ordering — if your van has curtain/cab airbags in those areas, the system cannot be fitted. If you are unsure, send us your van details and we will confirm.

Is it blackout, and does it help with heat?

Yes. The pleated panels give near-complete blackout for privacy and sleep, and the multi-layer material reflects heat in summer and holds warmth in winter. It is a permanent, tidy alternative to external silver screens and suction blinds.

Does it have a fly screen?

No. REMIfront cab blinds are blackout-only. Insect screens are a separate Remis product family (REMIcare / REMIflair) for habitation windows, not the cab.

Can I fit it myself?

Yes, with basic DIY skills and the right tools — the side blinds screw to the door frames and the windscreen cassettes mount to the A-pillars. Many customers do, though some prefer a professional fit. We are happy to talk it through before you order.

Delivery and warranty?

Free UK mainland delivery. Note Remis blinds cannot be shipped to Northern Ireland. Covered by the Remis manufacturer warranty.

Does the same set fit the Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay?

Yes. The Ducato, Boxer and Relay share the Sevel platform and take the same REMIfront system — match it to your shape year and sensor as for a Ducato. One check: on the 2021+ vans, if your Boxer or Relay has a windscreen sensor, send us a photo of the sensor pod before ordering. The sensor windscreen can vary by badge, so we will confirm the exact part for yours — the no-sensor set is the same across all three.

I have the older X250 (2006-2014) — can you help?

Yes. The X250 (2006-2011 and 2011-2014) uses a different windscreen blind — we can order it in. Contact us with your year and we will confirm the set.
