Which kit do I need?
On the MK8 Transit the kit comes down to two things: roof height and wheelbase. Every kit below is the UK right-hand-drive version.
H2 medium roof
- L2 wheelbase: adapter
98655Z188(Fiamma pairs it with a 290cm awning). - L3 wheelbase: adapter
98655Z189(340cm awning).
H3 high roof
- L3 wheelbase: adapter
98655Z163(320cm awning). - L4 wheelbase: adapter
98655Z164(400cm awning) — the long, high-roof Jumbo.

Every kit listed is the UK right-hand-drive adapter and fits the Fiamma F80S. Fitment verified against the Fiamma 2026 catalogue.
Fitting it
- Confirm roof height and wheelbase first. The adapter depends entirely on these two answers. Ordering the wrong one is the most common bracket mistake; the Fit Finder removes the guesswork.
- Right-hand-drive adapter. Make sure you fit the UK version so the awning ends up on the kerb side — every kit we list is already the RHD spec.
- The adapter drills the roof. Every penetration is bedded and sealed with polyurethane sealant — a roof leak is the one mistake that ruins the interior below.
- Two-person job. Lifting the awning onto the fitted adapter is not a solo task at any length.
None of this is beyond a methodical self-builder, and if you'd rather not drill the roof, a local installer will fit a supplied awning and kit in a few hours.

Will a Fiamma F80S fit a Ford Transit?
Yes, on the MK8 Transit (2014 onwards). Fiamma make an adapter kit for each roof-and-wheelbase combination, and we stock the UK right-hand-drive versions. Match the kit to your roof height (H2 medium or H3 high) and wheelbase and it fits the F80S.
Which bracket kit do I need for my Transit?
Two questions: is the roof H2 (medium) or H3 (high), and what wheelbase is it (L2, L3 or L4)? The kit reference table on this page gives the exact part number and the recommended awning length for each. If you are unsure, use our Fit Finder or send us a photo of your roofline.
My Transit is right-hand drive — does that matter?
Yes, and it is important. Fiamma make separate left- and right-hand-drive adapters for the Transit. Every kit we list is the UK right-hand-drive version (the higher Z-numbers: Z188, Z189, Z163, Z164), so the awning ends up on the kerb side. We do not stock the left-hand-drive twins.
Is my Transit H2 or H3?
H2 is the medium roof; H3 is the high roof (often badged "Jumbo" on the longest vans). If you are between the two, measure the external roof height or send us a photo and we will confirm before you order.
Why are the Transit kits more expensive than other vans?
The Transit adapters are single long-rail brackets rather than the smaller multi-piece kits used on, say, a Ducato. There is more aluminium in them, which is why they sit at a higher price point. They are still the correct — and only — F80S fitting for the van.
