Most UK Sprinter conversions are panel vans with a bare roof, so the bare-roof kit is the one most self-builders need.

Both kits fit the Fiamma F80S and the F65S awning, and the same kits also cover the Dodge and Freightliner Sprinter. Fitment verified against the Fiamma 2026 catalogue.
Fitting it
- Confirm your roof type first. Roof rails or bare roof is the only question that changes the kit. Our Fit Finder will confirm it, or send us a photo of your roofline.
- Roof rails must be the factory item. The roof-rail kit clamps to genuine Mercedes rails, not aftermarket bars.
- The bare-roof kit drills the roof. Every penetration is bedded and sealed with polyurethane sealant. A roof leak ruins the interior beneath it.
- Two-person job. Lifting the awning onto the fitted brackets is not a solo task.
A methodical self-builder can fit this. If you would rather not drill the roof, a local installer will fit a supplied awning and kit in a few hours, and we are happy to talk it through first.

Will a Fiamma F80S fit a Mercedes Sprinter?
Yes. Fiamma makes a bracket kit for the Sprinter, and the same kits cover both the W906 and the W907 / VS30 generations. You only need to know whether your van has factory roof rails or a bare roof.
Do I need to know my Sprinter's exact generation?
No, and this is the easy part of the Sprinter. Fiamma uses the same kits across the 2006-2018 W906 and the 2018-on W907 / VS30. The only thing that changes the kit is the roof: rails or bare.
What awning bracket do I need for my Sprinter?
If it has factory roof rails, the roof-rail kit 98655-772. If it has a bare roof, the High Roof kit, in the right-hand-drive version 98655-889 for a UK van. If you are unsure which roof you have, use our Fit Finder or send us a photo.
My Sprinter is right-hand drive, does that matter?
For the bare-roof kit, yes — Fiamma makes a specific right-hand-drive version (98655-889) and that is the correct one for a UK van. The roof-rail kit is the same for either drive side.
Does the same kit fit a Dodge or Freightliner Sprinter?
Yes. Fiamma's Sprinter kits cover the Dodge and Freightliner Sprinter as well as the Mercedes.
