What it is
The NRX 80C is the larger upright in Dometic’s current NRX range — 75 litres with a removable freezer compartment, for bigger galleys that need more cold storage.
It is the natural choice for a long-wheelbase build or a couple touring for longer, where the 50/60 would be tight.

Why we sell it
When the 50/60 is too small, the 80C gives you 75 litres of current-generation Dometic cooling without jumping to a tall tower cabinet.
- Big upright capacity. 75 litres in a 625mm-tall cabinet — a proper family fridge for longer trips.
- Efficient for its size. Around 0.33 kWh/24h with Eco/Boost/Silent modes.
- Current generation. Winter Mode, reversible hinge and refreshed electronics, with Dometic’s UK support.
How it compares
vs the Waeco WCR80
Same 75-litre class; the NRX adds the frameless door, three modes, Winter Mode and a tidier interior. The WCR80 is the value option.
vs an absorption (3-way) fridge
Far stronger cooling in heat, tilt-tolerant, no gas or flue needed — just 12/24V power.

Fitting it
- Ventilation. Allow around 50mm airflow clearance (confirm in the installation manual) — inlet low, outlet high.
- Power. Rated ~55W on 12/24V; averages ~0.33 kWh/24h. Fused, correctly gauged cable.
- Door swing. Reversible hinge — decide the side before fitting. The dual-function locks can be left vented.
- Off-season. Use Winter Mode when the van is stored.
