Why we sell it

The WCR80 is the value way to get 75 litres: the same proven compressor and simple controls as the rest of the WCR range, just bigger.

  • Big value capacity. 75 litres without paying for the premium NRX electronics.
  • Two modes. Performance for fast cool-down, Quiet for overnight running.
  • Known brand. Dometic/Waeco with a proper UK service network.

How it compares

vs the Dometic NRX 80C

Same 75-litre class; the NRX adds a digital panel, three modes, Winter Mode and a tidier interior. The WCR80 is the value option.

vs an absorption (3-way) fridge

Stronger cooling in heat, tilt-tolerant and no gas needed — just 12/24V power.

Fitting it

  • Ventilation. Needs airflow around the rear — build vents into the cabinet; follow the installation manual for clearance.
  • Power. 12/24V on fused, correctly gauged cable; about 50W and ~0.36 kWh/24h.
  • Door. Full-width handle, swappable panel; plan the door swing.

Questions and answers

How much bigger is it than the WCR60?

It adds 20 litres (75 vs 55), mostly through extra height — 635mm vs 535mm — with the same 537mm depth.

What is the power consumption?

About 50W and roughly 0.36 kWh per day on 12/24V; real draw varies with ambient heat and mode.

Is there a proper freezer?

A 6.6-litre frozen compartment with a removable shelf — good for ice and small frozen items.

Does it work off-level?

Yes — being a compressor fridge it tolerates slope far better than a 3-way absorption fridge.
