What it is

The WCR150 is the large-capacity flagship of the value Waeco WCR range — a tall, slim tower giving 153 litres (close to a household fridge) in a narrow 418mm footprint, with a 17.5-litre freezer.

Why we sell it

The WCR150 is the value route to a near-domestic fridge in a van: full height, generous freezer, and a footprint narrow enough to fit a tall cabinet bay.

  • Near-domestic capacity. 153 litres with a proper 17.5-litre freezer — far more than any under-counter model here.
  • Slim footprint. Only 418mm wide, so it fits a tall, narrow cabinet bay.
  • Value flagship. The most capacity in the WCR range without the premium NRX price.

How it compares

vs the Dometic NRX range

The NRX tops out around similar capacities with digital controls and a more premium finish at a higher price; the WCR150 is the value tower.

vs a tall absorption (3-way) fridge

Much better cooling in heat and when parked, and tilt-tolerant — but it is 12/24V only, so size your battery/solar accordingly.

Fitting it

  • Height. It is 1482mm tall and 574mm deep — confirm your cabinet height and depth before ordering; much bigger than the WCR60/80.
  • Ventilation. Allow rear airflow per the installation manual.
  • Power. 12/24V on fused, correctly gauged cable; about 50W and ~0.46 kWh/24h — size the battery/solar for the larger cabinet.

Questions and answers

How tall is it and will it fit?

1482mm tall, 418mm wide, 574mm deep — a slim full-height tower. Confirm your cabinet height and allow rear ventilation before ordering.

How heavy is it?

31 kg — plan the fixings and the lift. (Some listings show an obvious "5 kg" typo; the correct figure is 31 kg.)

How big is the freezer?

17.5 litres — substantially larger than the 6–6.6L compartments in the WCR60/80.

What does it draw?

About 50W and roughly 0.46 kWh per day on 12/24V — higher than the smaller models due to the bigger cabinet.
